15 Travel Tips! How To Travel Like A Pro!
I created this complete list of my greatest travel tips to help you become a genuine travel ninja by saving you time and preventing you from making the same errors I made.
These travel tips can help you save money, sleep better, go off the beaten path more, meet locals, and be a better traveler in general.
Without further ado, here are some of the best travel advice in the world:
1. Bring a flashlight with you.
It will help you see at night, prevent tripping over things, and tell ghost tales. Who doesn’t fear the dark?
2. Purchase airline tickets To obtain the best deal, book at least 2-3 months ahead of time.
Don’t go insane trying to find the cheapest flight. Spending five hours trying to save $10 will be very stressful. Here are some suggestions for saving money on flights:
3. Keep a basic first-aid kit with you.
Accidents can occur, so be ready. For small wounds and scrapes, I carry bandages, antibacterial cream, and ointments. You never know when you’ll need it, and it’s not always available when you travel.
4. Always bring a towel with you.
It’s both the secret to effective interstellar hitchhiking and common sense. Whether it’s at the beach, on a picnic, or simply to dry off, you never know when you’ll need it. Even though many hostels provide towels, you never know, and a tiny towel won’t add much weight to your pack.
5. Purchase a compact backpack or case.
You’ll be forced to pack light and avoid carrying too much things if you get a small backpack (I prefer something around 35/40 liters). Because humans have a natural need to fill space, if you pack light but have a lot of excess room in your luggage, you’ll find yourself thinking, “Well, I suppose I can take more,” and then regretting it.

6. Meet locals by using Meetup, the sharing economy, and hospitality websites.
These websites will link you with residents in the locations you visit to give you an insider’s view on your vacation. The sharing economy has revolutionized travel, enabling you to meet locals, avoid tourist traps, and save a ton of money! It’s a triple win – and resources I rely on often when I travel.
7. Experiment with new foods.
Don’t inquire as to what it is. Simply put it in your mouth and observe how it tastes. If you remain vigilant, you may miss out on some unique and delectable local food. Here are some articles on how to eat good — and inexpensive — meals in different parts of the world:
8. Avoid using cabs.
They are usually a financial drain. Take a cab only if it is really necessary!
9. Pass through airport security with an empty metal water bottle and fill it up at your gate.
When possible, drink from the tap to save money and protect the environment. If you’re travelling someplace where the water isn’t safe to drink, bring a water bottle with a filter. My two favorite characters are Lifestraw and Grayl.

10. Take advantage of free walking tours.
These excursions are not only free, but they will also provide you with an excellent orientation and background of the place you are visiting. When I travel, I really like taking walking tours. You pass the time, you get to ask the tour questions, and you learn a lot about your surroundings! When you travel, do a walking tour! Here are some of my favorite worldwide free walking tour companies:
11. Be open to new people.
Everyone does not bite. Say hello to passing motorists. Make acquaintances with strangers. Keep in mind that they are just like you! They want to live a full, happy life with goals and dreams! Never say never. You may make some pals for life.
12. But be vigilant.
Keep a healthy amount of mistrust because some individuals bite. You don’t want to become a victim of a travel scam or find yourself in an unpleasant scenario. Open up but be wary.

13. Practice haggling.
Negotiating is a pleasant, amusing technique to avoid paying the foreigner price. It’s the art of negotiation, and it’ll benefit you in many aspects of your life, not just at the market.
14. Keep emergency cash on you.
Because unexpected events occur. Like when I couldn’t locate an ATM in Romania and needed money to go to the accommodation via bus! I normally have roughly $200 USD in emergency cash on hand in case anything goes wrong!
15. Be respectful.
Locals are eager to assist you, but there is likely a language barrier, so maintain your calm when things don’t go as planned. You’ll wind up appearing like an asshole tourist if you don’t.
