Leroy Sane is world class and at his prime will be be a great signing for the gunners if he becomes available this summer, according to the Express journalist Ryan Taylor.
Sane has been recently linked with a move to north London and Taylor reckons the Germany international would be a player of interest to Mikel Arteta and co.
What’s the latest news involving Sane?
According to Bild (via Mundo Deportivo), Arsenal are keen on signing Sane, with Arteta desperate to strengthen his wide department having missed out on Serge Gnabry and Raphinha, who opted to join Barcelona.
Regardless, Taylor reckons that Sane is the calibre of player that Arsenal should be targeting.
What did Taylor say about Sane?
He told GIVEMESPORT: “Sane is an interesting one because we haven’t seen the same Sane we saw at City at Bayern, so whether that means he could become available, I don’t know.
“It would be fair to assume Arsenal would be interested in a player of his quality, he’s world-class on his day and he’s Premier League proven, so I do think he’s the kind of player they’ll be looking at, but nothing concrete at the moment as far as I’m aware.”
Would Sane be a good signing for Arsenal?
Arteta is hoping to improve his wide options, and the Spaniard surely wouldn’t be able to sign many better players than Sane.
Not only has the German played under Arteta previously, but he’s proven in the Premier League.
During his four years with City, Sane lifted the title on two occasions, helped by his 25 goals and 32 assists in just 90 top-flight appearances.
In 2017-2018, when Sane enjoyed arguably the best campaign of his career, he also scooped the PFA Young Player of the Year award after helping City become the first Premier League team in history to reach 100 points.
Even when Sane hasn’t been at his best at Bayern Munich, he’s still chipped in with 51 goals and assists in just 89 games, further highlighting his consistency as a top level performer and proving why he would be an outstanding signing for Arsenal.
