In today’s Diary Session, Biggie asked Housemates about their views on how ships would affect their Game in the House.
In today’s Diary Session, Housemates who spoke to Biggie had the same opinions on the effects of ships in the House as those who did so on Tuesday. They offered many explanations for why this was the case.
Housemates have lost focus
One of the major game plays that exist in the House is having a strategy. Chichi, however, feels as though ships could be a contributing factor to people forgetting their game plan. She explained to Big Brother that Housemates in ships are forgetting why they are in the game and for that reason, she felt that ships in the House are a distraction.
Groovy told Biggie that some of the ships that exist in the House were formed before the merge happened. He made an example of himself and Phyna as well as his friend Sheggz and Bella. On explaining further about the ship’s effects on Housemates’ game, Groovy said that the onus is on Housemates to ensure they do not lose focus.
The lack of Unity in the House
A lot of the Housemates agreed that the ships has stopped a lot of Housemates from having genuine interactions. Daniella in her Diary Session told Biggie that the Housemates in ships become limited in their interactions with other Housemates. She said further that the sentiments that develop in ships make it hard for the Housemates to come together. Sheggz also holds the same views as Daniella, as evidenced by his explanation to Biggy that ships keep those involved in sticky situations.
Dotun had a unique approach to the issue of disunity because of ships. He told Biggie that people in ships are prone to be attacked by their fellow Housemates because of their partners. He gave an example of Eloswag who had a fallout with Bella because he had an issue with Sheggz.
Allysyn‘s take on the issue of ships was quite unique as she told Biggie it has made the game boring. She gave examples of parties not being as interesting as they used to be because everyone was coupled up and not mingling. She also spoke about how it was also difficult to have conversations because Housemates were constantly hanging out with their partners.
Moving away from the issue of ships. Biggie spoke with Adekunle about who he Nominated and why. Adekunle explained that he Nominated Doyin because it seemed like she had the game figured out. This, according to Adekunle made Doyin a serious competition, As for Bella, Adekunle Nominated her because she had made statements about him that he found suspicious. Adekunle in conclusion claimed she liked to instigate trouble every now and then. Finally, he said he Nominated Sheggz because he feels Bella and Sheggz should never be separated.
The Veto Power
HoH Hermes was asked about what inspired his Save and Replace. He told Biggie that he saved Adekunle because he was his friend and they both shared similar Ideologies. As for why he chose Bryann to Replace Adekunle, he said his decision was based on emotion. Apparently, Bryann had distracted his Team during the Piggyvest Task and he found it hypocritical because the same had happened to Bryann a day before. This action informed his decision when it was time to use his Veto Power.
Housemates talk ships
Will the questions about the ship inform the Housemates about the need to be intentional about interacting more? Let’s wait and see.
