Manchester United were defeated 1-0 by Real Sociedad in their Europa League match on Thursday evening due to a controversial penalty decision.
The game went ahead despite the death of Queen Elizabeth II earlier in the day.
A lovely tribute took place before the match as everyone inside the stadium paid tribute to Her Majesty, The Queen.
It was Real Sociedad who won 1-0 courtesy of a controversial second-half penalty.
A shot on by from Man City legend David Silva rebounded off Lisandro Martinez’s leg and hit his arm.
The referee pointed to the spot and awarded the away side a penalty. Martinez was even given a yellow card.

VAR looked at the decision but decided that the decision to give the penalty was the right call.

The rules of the game suggest that a penalty was not the right call, as the ball deflected off Martinez’s leg before hitting his arm.
United pushed for an equaliser but could not find the goal they needed and succumbed to a 1-0 defeat.
It was a historic night for the Spanish side, who recorded their first ever victory over an English side.
Sheriff defeated Omonia 3-0 in the other game in Group E. United travel to Moldova to play the Sheriff next Thursday.
