Reece James has signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea.
The England international has been rewarded for his fine form over the past couple of years with a new salary reportedly worth a minimum of £250,000-a-week, per the Daily Mail.
James has evolved into one of Chelsea’s most important players and his numbers from an attacking perspective since the start of 2021/22 are ridiculously good.
In 44 games across all competitions during that time frame, the 22-year-old has scored seven goals and assisted a further 11 – numbers befitting of a winger.
It really is no wonder that Chelsea were desperate to tie him down to a new deal and they’ve certainly made it worth his while from a financial standpoint.
James’ new reported salary means he’s now the second-highest paid full-back in world football, according to the players wages available on the Capology website.
So who’s ahead of the Chelsea man? Well, you can find out below, as we’ve detailed the 30 highest-paid full-backs operating in the game right now.
